Fondue Recipe Overview

There is a variety of ways to experience fondue.  To determine what you need in order to prepare your fondue, you need to ask a few simple questions in order to find your proper fondue recipe.  Is your fondue intended for an appetizer, meal, or dessert?  Are there any vegetarians that will be joining your fondue party?

 

Meat Fondue

If you plan on serving fondue as a main course, meat fondue is the perfect choice.  Typically you will use an oil fondue recipe to cook the meat.  The best type of fondue set to make this type of fondue is the electric fondue set.  These are capable of heating the oil to heats that are appropriate to cook your meat selections.  There are many ways to make your meat and oil fondue recipes interesting.  If you have an asian themed meal you might try our ginger-soy fondue recipe.  A more traditional recipe would be our Bouillabaisse Broth recipe.

 

Cheese Fondue

Cheese fondue is what most people think of when they hear the term fondue.  This can be served as an appetizer or a light meal.  There are  couple of cheese recipes to choose form on our site, but the classic recipe is the most widely enjoyed one.  The mixture of two French cheeses with kirsch, wine and a subtle mix of spices make for a delicious treat.  Typically cheese fondue is served with cubed French bread.

 

Vegetarian Fondue

Chocolate Fondue
