Classic Chocolate Fondue
Ingredients:
- 10 ounces of bittersweet chocolate bars, chopped in small pieces (if you don't like dark chocolate, you can substitute half of the bittersweet chocolate for milk chocolate bar pieces)
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 Tsp. Amaretto liqueur
- 1/2 Tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 Tbs. Almond meal (optional)
- Dippers:
- Chopped fruit (banana's, apples, pineapple)
- Strawberries
- Pretzels
- Cubed Pound Cake
Directions:
In the Fondue pot add the almond meal and 1/4 cup of the cream stir until the the almond is and milk are mixed evenly on medium heat. Add the chopped chocolate and the rest of the cream. Stir gently until they are blended and create a smooth mixture. Stir in the vanilla and liqueur, If fondue becomes too thick, add more cream until it is the consistency you like.
Serve with your choice of dippers and fondue forks for easy dipping.
