Fondue Accessories

 

There are many fondue accessories for fondue pots. Some are essential for a good fondue experience. Others are simply delightful additions that create an extra memorable experience. In any case fondue accessories provide a broad range of uses and approaches for the fondue experience.

The possibilities for an evening are always expanded when you have some variety of pots and even a back up pot. Some pots are much better for high heat and for holding oil. Others are just perfect for cheeses. The most specialized pots tend to be for chocolate, which accommodate lower heat with style, celebration and sometimes even romance.

The most obvious and common fondue accessories are forks. One really benefits from specialized forks to spear meat or gingerly hold bread or other materials which absorb chocolate or cheese. There are specialty forks made for meat and hot oil fondue. When one gets an additional set of forks, for whatever reason, they can always use them for additional guests.

It is always helpful to have additional heating sources. Especial for those sets that can accommodate both gel and candles, it is helpful to have a supply of both. Candles tend to be optimal for lower temperature liquification, especially chocolate, while gels tend to be able to reach much higher temperatures, sometimes even reaching appropriate heats for oils to cook meats.

A range of serving dishes can add a lot to the dinner experience. First of all small dishes help one find a scalable resting place for the course one is on. Small bowls for dipping sauce are helpful, and it is always great to have a variety of trays for condiments.
